Mission Statement The mission of the Council of Orthodox Christian Churches of Metropolitan Detroit is to promote Orthodoxy throughout the area through worship, fellowship, and charitable educational and outreach programs. ?ǣGo forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and Lo, I AM with you always, even unto the end of the world.?ǥ(Matthew 28:19-20) To this end, we unite ourselves as a common witness to the one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church in Metropolitan Detroit.
Each year, we sponsor pan-Orthodoxy vespers services followed by a fellowship coffee hour during Great Lent at various parishes of Metro Detroit; educational seminars; church school teacher workshops; and Charitable events.
